Privacy Policy
How Trivvy collects, uses, and protects your information when you play. Written in plain English, structured for a trivia game.
★ Overview
Trivvy is a daily trivia and geography game published by Arc Vitals LLC (“we”, “us”). We built Trivvy to be fun first and respectful of your data by default. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you control.
The short version: we collect what we need to run the game — your account, your scores, your streaks — and nothing more. We don’t sell your data.
1 Information we collect
When you play Trivvy, we collect three kinds of information:
- Account information you provide when you sign in (e.g. email, display name).
- Gameplay data generated as you play — answers, scores, streaks, XP, level, leaderboard rank, geography/trivia progress.
- Device & app diagnostics — anonymous crash logs and performance metrics that help us keep the app stable.
2 Account & sign-in information
You can sign in with Apple, an email, or continue as a guest. We store:
- Your email address (only if you sign in with email).
- A display name you choose (or one we auto-generate, like
@u_5dbc6321c4684253). - An internal account ID used to sync your progress across devices.
We do not store passwords directly — authentication is handled by Apple or by a hashed, salted credential via our auth provider.
3 Gameplay data
To deliver streaks, XP, leaderboards and progress, we record:
- Scores & accuracy per day, per mode (Trivia and Geography).
- Streaks — current streak length and longest streak.
- XP & level, plus the events that earned them.
- Leaderboard data — your display name and aggregate score, visible to other players on global, country and friend boards.
- Geography progress — countries seen, flags collected (“Passport”), Continent Cup standings.
- Trivia progress — categories played, daily mix history, ability to revisit prior days.
- Cosmetics owned — avatars and outfits you’ve unlocked.
4 Device & app diagnostics
To keep the app running well, we collect a small amount of technical data:
- Device model, iOS version, app version
- Anonymous crash logs and error reports
- Performance metrics (e.g. load times, frame rates)
- Approximate region (derived from your App Store country)
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data.
5 Purchases & cosmetics
If we offer cosmetic items (outfits, skins) in the future, purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store. We receive an anonymous transaction ID and the item purchased — never your credit card or payment details.
All cosmetic items are purely visual. Trivvy is not pay-to-win.
6 How we use data
We use the information described above to:
- Run the core game — show your scores, save your streak, sync your account across devices.
- Operate leaderboards and matchmaking among friends.
- Send you daily-mix reminders, only if you opt in to notifications.
- Diagnose crashes and improve the game.
- Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, or abuse of leaderboards.
- Comply with legal requirements.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app advertising. We do not run third-party ad networks inside Trivvy.
7 Third-party services
Trivvy is built on a small number of trusted infrastructure providers:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, push notifications.
- Cloud hosting — for account sync, leaderboards, and game content.
- Crash analytics — anonymous crash & performance reporting.
Each provider is contractually bound to handle your data only on our behalf and only for the purpose described.
8 Data deletion
You can delete your account & all associated data at any time:
If you can’t access the app, email trivvy_support@arcvitals.com with the subject line “Delete my Trivvy account” and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
9 Children
Trivvy is rated for ages 4+ but is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what’s necessary to operate the app. Parents who believe their child has provided us information can contact trivvy_support@arcvitals.com and we will delete it.
10 Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll notify you inside the app and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Trivvy after the change means you accept the updated policy.
